BFF is thrilled to announce it will present the world premiere of Academy Gold Intern Tracey Aivaz’s short film, as announced live on the red carpet at the 90th Academy Awards.
Aivaz, interned on three one-minute short films commissioned by Walmart and inspired by its blue shipping box (#TheWalmartBox.) Directed by Melissa McCarthy, Dee Rees and Nancy Meyers, the shorts premiered during the Academy Award telecast on Sunday, March 4th.
Aivaz was surprised by Walmart’s Kirsten Evans live on Good Morning America on Friday, March 2nd, with the opportunity to create her own short film, which will play on Opening Night of the 4th annual BFF and before every competition film screening. She will also participate in BFF’s Diversity and Inclusion summit, speaking to executives and changemakers who are committed to the festival’s mission of championing inclusion in all forms of media.
Mark your calendars for BFF, May 1-6, 2018, where you’ll be one of the first to see Tracey’s film!
