WORLD PREMIERE OF THE BOX (Screens throughout festival)
Catch the world premiere of Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Science’s Gold Program intern Tracey Aivez’s short film, commissioned by Walmart, at Opening Night and before every Competition Film.
EASTERSEALS DISABILITY FILM CHALLENGE FINALISTS (Thursday, May 3, 1:15pm, Walmart World Room)
BFF partners with the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge film challenge to unveil and screen the 2018 competition finalists, followed by a Q&A with founder Nic Novicki. This program will be captioned and will include an ASL interpreter.
PROJECT ZERO (Sunday, May 5, Time/Venue TBA)
BFF is honored to partner with Arkansas-based non-profit Project Zero for a special film screening and event to raise awareness for their mission to diligently and passionately promote adoption through the foster care system.
THE RAISING OF AMERICA (Friday, May 4, 5:30pm, Arvest)
BFF, Helen R. Walton Children’s Enrichment Center, Ready Nation, Moms in Film and Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families present a special screening of The Raising of America, followed by a panel discussion with Kyle Peterson, Alysia Reiner and others.
SAMSUNG CREATE EVENT (Thursday, May 3, 6:30pm, Walmart World Room)
Student filmmakers were challenged to make a short film based on the mission of BFF by utilizing the incredibly powerful Samsung Galaxy phone and tablet. The top films will premier during this program followed by a Q&A. More information about how to enter can be found here.
